Each year, the History Council of Victoria hosts an intern from a Victorian university to work with us on our careers in history event — a panel discussion for tertiary students featuring professionals who once studied history, now working across a range of history and history-adjacent fields.

Introducing our intern for 2026, Rosina Virgona, currently completing her undergraduate degree at the Australian Catholic University in Melbourne!

Rosina is currently planning on being a secondary teacher with her subject areas being in English and History, but she also enjoys researching debates surrounding pseudo histories, pseudo archaeology, and internet culture. Her favourite history read is ‘Women’s Letters from Ancient Egypt, 300 BC-AD 800’ by Roger S. Bagnall and Raffaella Cribiore. Welcome Rosina!
